Info: This artwork was conceived after my exploration of intricate concepts of string theory, the theory of gravity, and delving into the fascinating realm of the Many-Worlds Interpretation by Hugh Everett. As I grappled with these profound ideas, my mind processed and integrated the acquired knowledge. This painting serves as a philosophical reflection within the realm of quantum mechanics, where I pondered the existence of parallel universes, and where the subtle ethereal rays represent the strings as I visualised it at the time of reading about it.
This painting also delves into the intriguing phenomenon of pareidolia, highlighting the illusory and deceptive nature of our brains. As we gaze upon this work, our minds might perceive subtle patterns and forms that may not actually exist, reminding us of the remarkable power of human perception and the ever-present possibility of misinterpretation. In this way, the bubbles within the composition symbolise not only the influence of gravity but also the complex interplay between reality and the tricks our minds can play on us. A small, enigmatic spaceman emerges as a captivating focal point, reminiscent of Major Tom from David Bowie's iconic song. This tiny astronaut figure symbolises the eternal human quest for exploration and transcendence, inviting viewers to contemplate the boundless mysteries of the cosmos and the allure of venturing into the great unknown.
