Info: This artwork is part of a series I'm currently working on. The series was created as a result of my experience as a refugee and witness to the war in Ukraine. This artwork in particular, although subtle and beautiful at first glance, contains grim symbols and cues that point to my feelings in the months and weeks leading up to the tragedy of the war. Like evil lurking in plain sight, these deathly skulls aren't visible at first glance; they emerge once the viewer starts noticing them.
In the Shadows-I was featured at the 2023 London Art Biennale and subsequently sold into a private collection.
Prints: I have a selection of limited edition prints available for this artwork. All prints are created on Hahnemühle archival fine art paper which provides for vibrant and long lasting colours. Each print is true to original size, signed and numbered.
